These days it's possible to pick up a laptop relatively cheaply, especially if you don't insist on having a MACOS machine (no Gary, this isn't an opportunity to pontificate about Apple).   Cheaper laptops tend to have smaller screens.  This great WIRED piece offers some great tips for working on smaller screens.  If you have an NDIS plan, try explaining that they regularly have tech tips to assist disabled users of technology.
