In recent years, there has been something of a transformation underway in the publication of books and other creative works.  These have opened the doors of opportunity for some writers who may not have considered publishing their work through the traditional method (e.g. agent, book deal, printing and bookstore), but it has also introduced unexpected tasks, trials and tribulations.  This interesting piece reflects on the experience of one writer outside of the traditional pathway.
