In more bad news, we were recently notified that our application for a Strong and Resilient Communities Activity – Inclusive Communities Grants Grant was unsuccessful. This was another large grant that would have funded most of the platform’s research needs. In brighter news, Gary will be meeting today a Business Development Manager from Griffith Health.
We are gutted by this bad news, especially for @Naomi Birdthistle who put a great deal of effort into this application. It’s a bummer, but we’ll struggle on. We still have a few grant applications out there, but we won’t lie. It is a BUMMER! It’s a slap in the chops while there are bills still coming in. We are nevertheless excited to explore ways to deepen our connections to the Griffith Inclusive Futures: Reimaging Disability research collaboration at Griffith University.
That bad news being said, the platform’s Advisory Board are discussing other funding ideas. A closer connection to GIF raises some really exciting possibilities. Keep watching this space.
