The NDIS has been a game-changer and has transformed the lives of so many Australians who live with a disability. Its creation is something Australians can be thoroughly proud about. The noise being made about cost-cutting is utterly disgusting. In Gary’s case the scheme has enabled him to remain active, busy and making a contribution to society.

Yet those with a disability, living out each day, still have to navigate uneven footpaths, narrow doorways, inhospitable – and even downright rude – commentary.
