Google Advertising sponsorship

Disabled businessman celebrating his success while working with laptop on the building rooftop with sunrise background

Just a quick bit of good news to brighten and warm a chilly morning.  Our application for sponsorship from Google has moved from the initial stage onto the next stage.  If this application is successful it would provide up to AUD13,000 in free advertising for a month (with a maximum of USD325 per day).  It appears from the website that this is ongoing sponsorship.

This would be an incredible boon for the platform and really transform our trajectory.  I currently have all digits crossed.

And while I was writing this we were approved!

Passing this stage also qualifies us to apply for other technology and software contributions to the platform.

Applying for this was one of our volunteers John Blandford’s ideas, so a hearty well done John.

Another grant would cover the design of the ad and campaign.  This is part of our continuing effort to get the platform up and running to support 1,000 Australians with disability.

Google has an advertising grant for not-for-profits that can be used for advertising on Google.  In the last few days, the platform lodged an application for this funding.  Our experience with the pilot test an our unpaid promotion suggests we need paid advertising to get the word out about disability entrepreneurship, its viability for Australians with disability, and the supp0rts the platform can provide. We are excited by the possibilities of reaching a wider audience through Google ads.  All digits crossed for this one.  Rest assured we'll be keeping our community of followers, supporters and friends posted. Another grant would cover the design of the ad and campaign.  This is part of our continuing effort to get the platform up and running to support 1,000 Australians with disability.
